Waje Celebrates daughter on her birthday

Waje's beautiful daughter Emerald turned 16 today
and the proud mum shared stunning photos and
shared her touching birth story

"I had gone to the hospital earlier but the
doctor said my due date was April 4th so
my mum took me home and left for lagos
that day. At 11pm, lying in d living room
which was my only comfortable spot in the
house, labour started, grandma said (don't
worry, false alarm) then it became
frequent, I couldn't scream but I felt like
killing someone and my bro @officialbk6
was a great candidate for that murder but
they were all trying to make me feel better.
Cut the long story short , labour was for
4hrs and this queen was born. My prayer is
that Gods grace and Favour will envelope u,
God will direct your path, in everything you
do u shall prosper, you shall be called great
amongst your peers and your well will
never run dry. You are above REPROACH!!!
No one will dare tangle with God by
messing with his chosen.nothing can drive
a wedge btw u and christ, as the sun rises so
shall u arise and shine. You are born of
God and great shall be your testimony.
Happy birthday ogochukwu emerald"

Hausa man arrested for using monkey and snake to rob people in Lagos

Rafiu is accused of using monkeys and snakes to scare his victims who for fear of their lives will drop their bags and run. Both the suspect and the monkey were arrested at Ogba, Lagos, shortly after allegedly robbed one of their victims of N240,000.

Rafiu and others at large were alleged to have
trailed their latest victim who just emerged from a bank at Ogba, and unleashed the aggressive
monkey on him. Rafiu, along with one of his
partners, Sani, allegedly grabbed the victim’s bag and attempted to flee. He succeeded in handing over the bag containing the money to Sani before he (Rafiu) was arrested by the police at the scene.

At the police station, Rafiu confessed that he
relocated to Lagos when he learnt that his business would do better in the city.

His words: “I normally sell herbal mixtures in
Kano and to attract customers, I allow my monkey to dance to the amazement of passers-by. This will attract their attention and give me the opportunity to sell my drugs. In 2005, my brother returned from Lagos and told me that I am wasting my talent in Kano.

“He advised me to travel down to Lagos with the monkey. Since I knew that I was going for a better opportunity, I bought a new monkey making it two. Just like he predicted, business was booming till 2010 when it started dwindling. They were so many herbal doctors everywhere. We could hardly make N2, 000 in a day. Life was becoming difficult that I could not send money home.

“I was even contemplating to travel back to Kano when an incident changed my decision. We were heading back after a stressful day, when my monkey jumped on a woman and she left her bag and fled. I called her in an attempt to give her the bag but she kept running. Since no one saw what happened, I kept the bag and later discovered that there was N30,000 inside it. I was very happy and shared the news with my colleague who was into the same monkey business.”

According to Rafiu, they decided to explore the
newly discovered trick. “We normally operate at
night when no one will notice that we are there.
We made good money and gradually we
introduced the use of snake. No normal person
will take a pin if he sees a snake is about to bite
him. We had to stop using the snake when we
nearly lost control of it during an operation. The
snake did not stop when we ordered it, I had to kill the python to save the man.”

On the day of his arrest, he said that they came
with their car towards the bank. “We waited till we saw a man stepping out from the bank with a bag.We followed him behind till he left the bank area. I then stepped out with the two monkeys with us, while Sani, my partner moved closer to him. I ordered the monkey to scare him and he threw away the money and ran for safety. As fast as we could, I picked the money and threw it to Sani who rushed into the car.

Unfortunately passers-by saw
what happened and started stoning me. Sani ran away with one of the monkeys while I was mobbed by some angry people. It was God that saved me when two policemen came and rescued me. I would have died there. I thank Allah”

On how he recruits his workers, Rafiu said that he does not have a permanent partner. “In the past 10 years, I have worked with several persons. Sani just joined me two years ago and so far we have made a lot of money together. I am terribly sorry.

I will go back to Kano and continue my business. I was making money on sex enhancement drugs, before the devil came up with another suggestion.”

The monkey, in chains, still appeared hostile at the sight of policemen and journalists. Rafiu explained that it has been trained to disarm anybody, a feat it had done severally. He also warned that women are not allowed to come closer as it has been trained to have sex with women.

Confirming the arrest, Lagos police command
spokesman, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said that the
police is still on the trail of the others while the
suspect and the monkey will be charged to court at the end of investigation.

Eight reasons why the most corrupt Candidate will win this election By Etcetera

Article written by singer Etcetera

Call me whatever you want after seeing my
headline, but I very well know that within you,
there is an awareness that the corrupt candidate will win in today’s election, not the candidate who Lives by said morals. I have eight reasons for Saying so.

1. Because every voter in Nigeria has his/her
own hypothetical belief that most politicians
are corrupt and there is very little an idealist
politician can do to reform the system. So
what difference would it make anyway, even
if an idealist manages to win?

2. Because the administrative system in Nigeria
is outdated when it comes to having a
decentralised system for any public
information and this allows corrupt
politicians to play their game with much
ease. It means, rigging is sure to happen
today.

3. The corrupt politician knows how to get votes
from the poor – by gratitude. He gives you
what is yours by right, and collects your
votes in return. Like the insignificant
reduction in petroleum pump price.

4. The corrupt politicians fit well to complete
the vicious circle of our democracy. Didn’t
you all notice that in the campaign for
today’s election, top business and media
conglomerates in the country made
gargantuan financial contributions to the
campaign of one of the candidates, and in
return, they are assured of his assistance to
win their corporate game?

5. Politics in Nigeria works significantly on the
idea of personal interest first before
anything else, while unregulated power and
immunity clauses have made corruption an
addiction for the politicians.

6. As a country, Nigeria is suffering from the
lack of good/sincere men, which
fundamentally increases the probability of
corrupt men hanging onto power.

7. Given the current economic stats and a
stagnant GDP growth rate, Nigeria does not
have enough resources to fulfill the demands
of a future society which makes it rather
hard for the corruption to go anytime
sooner. It is a significant problem and the
problem is only going to get worse, and the
social differences highlighted in the runoff of
today’s election won’t help matters.

8. Corruption in Nigeria works like an
organised crime – where profits are justly
divided among the partakers and members of
our dead police force do not only fail to fight
it but rather take part in it and their excuse
have always been their low salaries.
Mark my words here, whoever wins today’s
election, corruption remains the same. Our
national food is bribe and we really enjoy eating
it.

Franklin Ubi talks on his love affair with Lilian Esoro

Their engagement shocked many as they were never
identified as a couple or spotted together..Ubi
Franklin has revealed he didn't know his fiancee,
Lilian Esoro was an actress..He told Punch

“When I met her, I did not even know she
was an actress. That is something people do
not know. I hardly watch television these
days because of my schedule, so there are a
lot of movie stars I do not know. Whenever
I want to relax, I watch movies on my
laptop. The first day I met her, she did not
tell me she was an actress and I didn’t
know till about a week later.”
“I called her to ask and she told me she was
an actress but preferred to keep a low
profile. She said she does not like too much
attention and all she wants is due diligence.
She is not one of those actresses that seek
for attention.”

Talking about how he broke up with his ex, Ubi said,
“Things were not working because I believe
that you should be where you would be
happy for the rest of your life. I asked God
that I needed a woman to marry and settle
down with. After I prayed about it for
about a week, I met Lillian at a friend’s
party. The day I met her, I saw the qualities
I wanted in a woman I want to be with for
the rest of my life.”

On marrying an actress,he said..
“I have no problem with her career.
Everybody works hard to earn a living and
as far as she is happy with what she does,
that is the most important thing to me. All I
want to do is to help her improve on
whatever she is doing and also support
her,” he said.

“The marriage would definitely be this year
in Nigeria. I am not a fan of marrying
abroad. I have nothing against people that
do it but the truth is many people that ought
to come and pray for you would not make
it if you travel out of the country,” he said.

Lagosians are now free to move around during monthly sanitation

A Reportt  written by Kolapo Olapoju of Ynaija says that
Lagosians can now move around during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
According to the Federal High Court in Lagos, it is
unlawful to restrict the movement of citizens during the
monthly Lagos environmental sanitation exercise.
Justice Mohammed Idris delivered a judgment on
Monday, March 16, ruling that such restriction of
movement, in the name of sanitation, amounted to a
violation of the citizens’ right to personal liberty and
freedom of movement protected by sections 35 and 41 of the Constitution.
Consequently, he voided the power of the Lagos State
Government and its agents to arrest any citizen found
moving between 7am and 10am on the last Saturday
of every month, which is when the enviromental
sanitation exercise is observed.

"The most aggressive team we have played this season is PSG" says Mourinho

According to Goal.com

Jose Mourinho has taken a
swipe at Paris Saint-Germain
ahead of the second leg of
their Champions League
last-16 tie by claiming the
French champions are the
"most aggressive" team
Chelsea have faced this season.
Laurent Blanc's side travel to west London with the tie
finely poised after a 1-1 draw in Paris in mid-February.
Mourinho was unhappy with the treatment dished out to
Eden Hazard at Parc des Princes, with the Belgium
international being fouled a record nine times throughout
the game - though the referee issued just two yellow
cards to PSG players during the clash.
"The most agressive team we've played this season is
Paris Saint-Germain," the Chelsea boss told reporters on
Wednesday.
"I have to be fair, I thought an English team would never
be surprised by aggressive play because we have it in our
country.
"We've played against sides from the Championship in
the Cup, against teams from League One and
Shrewsbury [Town] from League Two, but the most
aggressive team was PSG.
"For me, that was a real surprise. With players of such
quality, I was expecting more football and less
aggression."
Mourinho also criticised the assertion that PSG
dominated the opening leg, claiming that they
"dominated in everything except the result".
"It depends on your concept of football. If dominate is
the number of chances, yes, Paris had more chances," he
said. "If dominate is to make foul after foul. Or to move
the ball without progression."
